Abstract

Operational technology (OT) environments are increasingly interconnected to drive efficiency and real-time analytics, but this connectivity introduces significant risks to safety, uptime, and operational continuity. The reliance on legacy technologies, third-party vendors, and remote access solutions expands the attack surface, making OT infrastructure a target for both opportunistic hacktivists and sophisticated state-sponsored actors targeting critical national infrastructure (CNI).
