Abstract

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-IE) has developed this AI risk assessment to support the secure integration of artificial intelligence within the Irish public sector. While AI offers significant potential for operational efficiency and improved service delivery, it also introduces systemic risks by expanding the attack surface, increasing system complexity, and altering the data and privacy risk profile of government organizations.
